The Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh police arrested an Indian national posted in the Indian embassy at Moscow who was allegedly providing information to a Pakistani spy agency ISI.

According to UP ATS, Satyendra Siwal who was working as an MTS (Multi-Tasking, Staff) in the Ministry of External Affairs, was arrested after being questioned by ATS in Meerut on Sunday. Satyendra was a resident of Hapur district.

According to the information, given to UP ATS, the handlers of the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI were luring some people to the employees of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India with money to gain access to the strategic information related to the Indian Army. Important confidential and prohibited information is being obtained. This will likely pose a huge threat to Indian internal and external security.

Taking cognizance of this, UP ATS collected evidence by keeping an eye on it through surveillance. Investigation revealed that a person named Satyendra Siwal, son of Jaiveer Singh, resident of village Shahmahiuddinpur police station Hapur Dehat, district Hapur, who is appointed as MTS in the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and is currently working in the Indian Embassy in Moscow, Russia, is a member of the ISI. Providing important information to the handlers.

An investigation by the Intelligence Department revealed that he was involved in anti-Indian activities by being involved in the network of ISI handlers and was providing important confidential information to them.

After getting solid evidence, UP ATS called Satyendra Siwal to ATS Field Unit Meerut and interrogated him and when information was given about the information sent by him, he could not give the correct answer. During intensive interrogation, Satyendra confessed to his crime.

It was told that Satyendra has been working as an IBSA (India-based security assistant) in the Indian Embassy in Moscow, Russia since the year 2021. A case has been registered against the accused under various sections. A mobile phone, Aadhar card, PAN card, an identity card, and Rs 600 have been recovered from the accused.
