Amethi: At least four persons lost their lives and two others were critically injured when a speeding Lucknow-Sultanpur train rammed into a bolera at Natha Bhasunda unmanned railway crossing here.

The vehicle, a bolero, carrying a marriage party, was hit by the local train at 0719 HRS near Matha Bhusunda village under Musafirkhana police station, station house officer Ram Raghav Singh said.

The engine of the train and cattle guard, which suffered damage, was being replaced, he added.

Four persons died on the spot. Two others were rushed to the nearby hospital on Wednesday.They were on their way to attend a wedding ceremony.
