Lucknow: In a controversial statement, cabinet minister Ravidas Malhotra on Thursday said Samajwadi Party was alone capable of forming a majority government in Uttar Pradesh. He said it was Congress which benefitted more from the alliance and the pact was not profitable to SP.

“Congress must be a happy party as it benefitted more in the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance. Samajwadi Party was single-handedly able to emerge victorious in the UP polls,” said Ravidas to a leading news channel.

It could be mentioned here that the newstrack.com and Apna Bharat election survey has predicted that the BJP will be in the driving seat .
