Lucknow, September 6 - The Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, is promoting digital learning to transform the state into a proficient one and enhance classroom education. On Tuesday, in commemoration of Teacher's Day, CM Yogi inaugurated smart classes in 18,381 government primary schools and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas. Furthermore, he also launched the establishment of IT labs in 880 development blocks, aiming to familiarize students with computer and digital education. This initiative not only aims to enhance classroom education but also seeks to empower teachers and students with digital tools.

Why Smart Classes are Essential: Smart classes are being introduced in schools to provide students with classroom education through digital means. These smart classes will be equipped with modern technology, including a 75-inch touchscreen panel, high-definition web camera, digital course content, learning management system, internet connectivity, and power backup. Additionally, on-site operation and maintenance support will be provided by service providers for smooth operation of smart classes.

  • Tablets will be distributed to 209,863 primary school teachers to facilitate the quick dissemination of information, access to educational materials, and efficient monitoring of education.
  • Tablets will also be used for assessing students' language and mathematics skills through various apps (Nipun Lakshya App and Saral App).
