New Delhi: The divine idol of Lord Ram in the sanctum sanctorum of the new temple in Ayodhya is adorned with exquisite jewelry from head to toe. This intricate design reflects the imagination of countless devotees through the ages.

**14 Ornaments:**

The idol, weighing five kilograms, is embellished with a total of 14 ornaments made of pure 22-carat gold. These include a crown on the head, Ramandi Tilak on the forehead, emerald and ruby rings, three separate necklaces of varying dimensions, waistbands, armlets, bracelets, anklets, arrows, and a bow.

**Crafted by Lucknow Jeweler:**

The jewelry was designed by Harshayamal Shyamlal Jewelers (HSJ) in Lucknow. According to Ankur Anand, CEO of HSJ, it took them 12 days to create the entire range of ornaments for the deity. The jewelry is crafted from 18,567 round diamonds, 439 uncut diamonds, 615 emeralds, and 2984 rubies.

**Spiritual Research:**

The temple trust claims that the creation of divine ornaments was based on extensive research and study rooted in scriptures such as Adhyatma Ramayana, Valmiki Ramayana, Ramcharitmanas, and Alwander Stotra, describing the majestic attributes of Lord Ram.

**Attire Description:**

The trust described the attire of Lord Ram, mentioning that it is tailored from Banarasi fabric, adorned with a yellow dhoti and a red scarf/stole. The stole is embellished with pure gold threads and gems representing auspicious Vaishnav symbols: conch, lotus, discus, and peacock.

**Day and Night Effort:**

Anand stated that 132 artisans worked day and night to complete the mission in such a short time, drawing on their 130 years of heritage in designing collections for various temples in Vrindavan, Bareilly, and Aligarh.

**Details of Some Ornaments:**

- **Crown:** Weighs 1.7 kg, features a 75-carat diamond, 135-carat Zambian emerald, and 262-carat diamonds, among other gemstones.

- **Ramandi Tilak:** Made of pure yellow gold, 16 grams in weight, adorned with a natural three-carat diamond and surrounded by small diamonds and Burmese rubies.

- **Victory Garland:** Weighs 2 kg, made of gold with interspersed rubies and diamonds. Symbolizes victory and is adorned with Vaishnav symbols like Sudarshan Chakra, lotus, champa, parijat, kund, tulsi, conch, and auspicious kalash.
