Noida: In what can be called a complete surprise, the Uttar Pradesh government has sent a trusted aide of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav to Noida as an adviser for the industrial development. It was the first-of-its-kind political appointment to the Noida Authority.

“Fathu Ram Bhojwani has been appointed as an industrial development adviser to the Noida Authority,” confirmed an official source. It may be mentioned that an official order in this regard was released by Noida Authority’s chairman Sanjay Agarwal on August 26 last.

About Fathu Ram Bhojwani:

  • 74-year-old Bhojwani hails from the SP chief’s home district Etawah.
  • He has been Mulayam’s family munim (accounts keeper) for a very long time.
  • He is neither a Provincial Civil Services (PCS) nor an Indian Administrative Services (PCS) officer.
  • His appointment to the Noida Authority was cleared by UP Governor Ram Naik.
