SP UP assembly candidate Chandrasen Taplu passes away

Agra: A day after his announcement of candidature in Uttar Pradesh assembly elections from Agra cantonment constituency Samajwadi Party politician Chandrasen Taplu died on Thursday following a massive heart attack.

According to Chandrasen's family members that the politician had complained of pain in his chest. "He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital from where the doctors referred him to Medanta. He died while we were on our way to Medanta," the family members stated.

Several party politicians visited his house to pay condolences after the news of his demise. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is also expected to attend his funeral.

Chandrasen has also served as the 'Parshad' (Councillor) during his political career.
