Safe City Project: AI to Identify Unpleasant Incidents with Women, says CM Adityanath

Lucknow, July 17: The committed Yogi government is set to develop 17 municipal corporations and Gautam Buddh Nagar as Safe Cities in the first phase, ensuring the safety and comprehensive development of women, senior citizens, children, and people with disabilities. The Yogi government will utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology for this purpose. Through AI, it will provide 100% security to women, identify criminals, deter harassers, immediately assist women and children in emergencies, and prevent suicides. The crucial role in this initiative will be played by the dial 112 service, which will be integrated with both government and private CCTV networks.

AI to Issue Alerts for Parole and Bail of Sexual Offenders

Under the Safe City project, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will enable the early detection of acid attacks and assaults on women. The AI system will instantly raise an alert by analyzing the intention of the attacker carrying acid in a bottle or glass and observing the behavior and expressions of the woman. As soon as this alert reaches the dial 112 service, it will provide real-time information about the incident's location and alert the police personnel at the nearest police station. Additionally, the AI will also mark any hand raised by a woman, senior citizen, child, or person with disabilities as an SOS signal. It will also assist in identifying vehicles involved in chain snatching incidents targeting women's jewelry, purses, and belongings. Furthermore, it will help identify individuals involved in stalking women. Identification of individuals engaged in selling narcotics near schools, colleges, and regular hangout spots will also be facilitated. Notably, AI will issue alerts for the parole, bail, or release of sexual offenders, with their faces registered in the national database.

Keeping an Eye on Stunt Performers

AI will aid in identifying groups of individuals involved in smoking in areas where women's voices are suppressed, those violating traffic regulations, groups consuming alcohol outside public places and liquor shops. It will also help identify individuals performing stunts on roads, groups blocking roads, and obstructing traffic. Moreover, through details registered in the database, it will aid in identifying missing persons. It will also facilitate the analysis of incidents during road accidents and any criminal activities. AI will even detect suicide attempts on bridges, flyovers, railway tracks, and similar locations.
