Rampur: Two women molested by 14 men, aired live video on FB
Rampur: Challenging anti-romeo squads, which were deployed by the Uttar Pradesh government to ensure the security of women, 14 men of Rampur district molested two women and aired the whole incident live on social media site Facebook.
The main accused has been arrested and the others are still absconding. The police has claimed to have identified the accused and assured to catch them very soon.
Superintendent of Police Vipin Tada stated, "We have identified the men involved. The main accused has been arrested. We are interrogating him and based on what he says the rest will also be nabbed. We filed an FIR after the videos went viral on social media."
The accused filmed the entire incident using a mobile phone and posted it on social media. The video showed that the men were pulling one of the women's dupatta. They were making fun of the victims while they were urging to spare them. The men also went on to grope, pull and push the women.
