*Gorakhpur:* As the date for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya approaches, security measures along the Indo-Nepal border area are intensifying. Concerns about unauthorized entry from the India-Nepal border have led to increased vigilance, with a heightened alert spanning 84 kilometers in Maharajganj district. Drone surveillance is being conducted across the entire region, with the ADG closely overseeing the operations.

Under the leadership of CO Nautanwa Jay Prakash Tiwari, drone monitoring has commenced from Sonauli to the Kolhai region. Stringent searches of vehicles and suspects approaching the international entry point are underway. Approximately 8 kilometers of the border in the Kolhui area is under surveillance, separated by the Danda River. Daily criminal activities are reported from several ghats along the river. To curb these activities, a joint campaign was conducted on Tuesday by the police and the SSB. Drones were deployed, and checks were conducted on individuals traveling to and from the ghats.

**SSB Patrolling on Footpaths**

On January 22, the idol consecration will take place at the Shri Ram Mandir, followed by Republic Day. In preparation for these historic events, security measures have been strengthened not only along the main route at the border but also on the footpaths leading to Nepal. CO Nautanwa mentioned that an alert has been issued regarding the consecration ceremony on January 22. Entry is allowed after the inspection of travelers coming from India to Nepal. SSB patrolling is being conducted on footpaths.

A high-level meeting between officials from both countries is scheduled in Bhairahawa in the international border area on the consecration day at Ram Mandir and on the upcoming Republic Day.
