Ayodhya: As the date for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Rama approaches on January 22, 2024, security agencies in Ayodhya are on high alert. The entire district will be under strict surveillance, with security forces maintaining a constant vigil. Various state and central agencies have set up camps in the region to ensure the safety of the event. Approximately 30,000 personnel will be deployed in and around Ramnagari on the day of the ceremony.

Seven security agencies involved in extensive preparations

Seven security agencies, including IB, L&Y, ATS, STF, and Military Intelligence, have set up camps in the district ahead of the Prime Minister's arrival. Teams with Deputy SPs, inspectors, and soldiers equipped with modern technology are conducting thorough checks in different areas to gather intelligence. Additionally, commandos are assigned the responsibility of securing the Ram Temple.

Special deployment at Maharshi Valmiki International Airport

The security of Maharshi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya has been entrusted to the Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force's sixth battalion. With three inspectors, 55 sub-inspectors, 22 head constables, and 194 constables, these forces are well-prepared to handle any terrorist threats. Surveillance towers and advanced equipment have been deployed across all crucial areas of the airport.

Security personnel undergo rigorous training

Before deployment, security personnel are given specialized training under the guidance of Uttar Pradesh Police. They receive three months of training, focusing on handling modern weapons from the UP ATS and disaster management training from the UPSDRAF. Courses, including a five-day induction for airport security, 14 days of basic training, five days of on-the-job training, and a five-day screener-related training, are provided to ensure their preparedness.

Strategic distribution of forces across sectors

Ayodhya has been divided into sectors, and nearly 100 DSPs, 300 inspectors, 800 sub-inspectors, and 4500 head constables-constables are being deployed. Additionally, 20 companies of the PAC will be stationed for security purposes.

Strict measures to prevent unauthorized entry

Security agencies have prepared a blueprint for the security of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, aiming to prevent unauthorized entry. The police have created a database of individuals using facial recognition technology. Special attention is being given to monitoring all possible activities around the Ram Temple.

Government's focus on security

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi and prominent personalities from across the country expected to attend the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22, the government is emphasizing security during the event. The police are vigilant to identify and apprehend troublemakers, and strict measures are in place to maintain security. Artificial intelligence will be employed for enhanced surveillance during the ceremony.

Police receive behavioral training

On January 21 and 22, heavy vehicles will be restricted, and separate arrangements will be made for smaller vehicles. Improved facilities are being arranged for invited guests, including monitored parking spaces. A new plan for the security of the Ram Temple includes a ban on drone flights in the area without permission. Police personnel have undergone special training to ensure better behavior with devotees.
