UP will progress under Akhilesh and Rahul: Robert Vadra

Lucknow: After Priyanka Gandhi’s key role in the SP-Congress alliance, her husband Robert Vadra donned political hat coming out in open to back Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh assembly polls. Congratulating the duo on the alliance, he said that Uttar Pradesh will reach new milestones under the regime of Akhilesh and Rahul.

“The alliance between Congress and SP is not only an alliance between two parties, it is an alliance between two young and dynamic leaders- Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav. My best wishes to them for the upcoming UP elections. I am sure that under their dynamic leadership, UP will shine and become extremely progressive. Both youth icons will bring forth immense energy, brilliant ideas and implementation to transform UP into a world class state. Congratulations on the grand alliance,” read Robert Vadra’s Facebook post.

There are also speculations about Priyanka Gandhi contesting 2019 Lok Sabha polls on her mother and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi’s constituency Raebareli with latter’s indifferent health.

This Facebook statement of Vadra assumes significance as he is facing low over corruption charges.
