UP Police turns 'Swach Bharat' promoters, Moradabad 'thanas' go clean

Moradabad: A day after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath promised to make Uttar Pradesh the dream state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the whole machinery has come into action to fulfil his promise.

First step for bringing this change has been taken up at the police station of the state. The police force across the state has decided to carry out a swachta abhiyan, once a week, at their police stations.

The first cleanliness drive was carried out at police stations in the Moradabad district of the state on Wednesday. The officers along with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) pledged to keep their workplace premises and surroundings clean and also to make people aware about the PM's Swach Bharat initiative.

The SSP has also ordered the station officers to carry out the cleanliness drive once a week without giving it a miss.
