PCS officer Mani Manjari Rai commits suicide at her flat

Balia: Mani manjari Rai (30), the executive officer of Nagar Panchayat Maniyar of the district Balia, committed suicide on Monday night. As soon as this was known, there was a stir among the administrative and police officers and the officials of the civic bodies.

DM Srihari Pratap Shahi and SP Devendra Nath also reached the spot and inquired. As soon as the incident he received the news. Police has also found suicide note from the spot. Now the police has started investigating the cause of suicide through this suicide note and the call detail of the executive officer.

According to local people, in a buliding with many flats, there was a flat of Executive Officer Mani Manjari Rai on the third floor. She was alone on Monday.

Executive Officer committed suicide:

According to sources, after seeing something moving from the glass of the window of the room, the people around them feared something untoward. After that someone dialed 112 and reported it to the police.

When the police opened the door after completing the necessary formalities, it hung on the noose above the bed in the bedroom. The Superintendent of Police immediately called a forensic team. The dead body was lowered after a thorough investigation by the team.

DM-SP was on the spot till late night. At the same time, on receipt of this information, apart from Joint Magistrates Vipin Kumar Jain and Annapurna Garg, other officials including Sadar Tehsildar Sivasagar Dubey, Naib Tehsildar Jaya Singh, EO Bansdih Seema Rai, EO Sikanderpur Sanjay Rao reached the spot.
