Muslim cleric surrenders before CJM court in Bijnor

Bijnor: A religious Muslim leader who was seen with a woman in a compromising position and was absconding for more than two months surrendered in Chief Judicial Magistrate's court here on Monday.

Imam of a Jama Masjid he is also facing charge of threat to Superintendent of Police. The incident had come to light after it was posted on a social medium which became viral.

The imam has ,however, denied the charge and claimed that he was offered a spiked drink by the lady and that the objectionable picture was taken to defame him.
