MSY begins election campaign, urges people to vote for Shivpal

Etawah: Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav on Saturday kicked off his election campaign, urging UP people to vote for brother Shivpal Yadav.

Mulayam in his 30-minute speech, however, does not even mentioned Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance.

Addressing a rally in Takha block of Jaswantnagar, Mulayam said these elections will play a pivotal role in their (MSY and Shivapal) political career.

Despite attacking any political party, Mulayam’s only focus was on stating developmental works done by the Akhilesh Yadav government.

What Mulayam Singh Yadav said?

• The real strength of SP lies in youth and they are with us.
• It was SP government which provided employment in the state.
• Several made fun of our 2012 manifesto but we fulfilled every promise.
• We made laws to see that farmers’ land was not auctioned because of debt and they will not have to pay revenue.
• Following us, even United States is also making similar laws for farmers.

Uttar Pradesh is witnessing seven-phase Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
