Ghazipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday flagged off the Shabd Bhedi Express. The train would run between Ghazipur and Kolkata on a weekly basis. The Prime Minister was accompanied by railway minister Suresh Prabhu, Uttar Pradesh governor Ram Naik and UP state president of BJP Keshav Prasad Maurya along with other cabinet ministers and party dignitaries.

Keshav Prasad Maurya attacks BSP and SP:

  • The Uttar Pradesh state President of Bhartiya Janata Party, Keshav Prasad Maurya, launched a scathing attack on Bahujan Samaj Party Chief Mayawati and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and said that the demonetisation step by PM Modi has given a jolt to them.
  • "The huge elephant built by the BSP supremo with the black money collected through corruption has become smaller than a buffalo after Modi government's decision of demonetisation," the BJP president said. He further stated, "Mayawati is rattled because her cash-stuffed mattress is useless now.
  • The minister further said that Mulayam Singh Yadav wants more time dispose off his black money. "He calls it an undeclared financial emergency. It is an emergency for him and all those who are corrupt and have looted money that belong to the nation," said Maurya.
