Minor Dalit girl raped by neighbour in Mahoba

Mahoba: An incident of rape of a five-year-old girl has come to light in the Kulpahad village of Mahoba district in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, accused used toffee as a bait to lure the minor to his home where he committed the crime on Thursday. The accused was under the arrest of police and case under Prevention of Child from Sexual Offences (POCSO) has been registered against the youth.

• The accused gave Rs 5 to the victim girl for toffee.
• He then took her to his home and raped the girl.
• Neighbours reached the spot on hearing the cries of girl.
• The girl was rushed to the hospital.

What police says:

Senior Superintendent of Police Rajesh Saxena said the medical examination confirmed that the girl was raped.

• The girl was getting treatment at the hospital.
• The accused has been arrested.
