National swimmer Saira Sirohi commits suicide in Ghaziabad

Lucknow: A national swimmer living in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh committed suicide. This promising and talented sports girl has won more than 100 medals in different championships. The reason behind this extreme step of suicide is yet to be ascertained.

About Saira Sirohi-

• She belongs to Ghaziabad city and studies in class 11 of Dehradun Public School.
• Her father is in Uttar Pradesh police.
• She wanted to represent the country in Commonwealth and Olympic games.
• Her coach Raju Chaudhary said that because of her final exams she was not coming for the practice.

Police Inspector Ashok Sisaudia said that they did not find any suicide note near her body, hence it is unknown that why she took such a drastic step. Saira’s sister first saw her hanged on late Sunday night at 0130 hours.
