JNU student ends life, was talking of rebirth

Bareilly: Dushyant Dixit, a student of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) ended his life by hanging self in his residence at Vasant Vihar of South Delhi on Thursday.

Dushyant has written on rebirth in his suicide letter which was recovered later by the police.

The police in the initial investigation have suspected it to be case of suicide due to love affair.

Case study:

• Dushyant had completed a project under the guidance of a JNU professor.
• He hailed from Dhaneta area of Bareilly district and was living in Guardian colony of Vasant Vihar in New Delhi.

Suicide letter:

• He, in his suicide letter, had written about rebirth.
• He was too inclined towards religion, said his friends.
