Bulandshahr: The Additional Judge Sunil Kumar of Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh awarded capital punishment to Ranveer, who was found guilty in the eight-year old Barari massacre.

Ranveer on the intervening night of July 28-29, 2008 had killed eight persons of a family including an infant and a pregnant lady. The court has slapped Ranveer with a monetary fine of Rs 1.5 lakhs while the case against his son was under trial in the juvenile court.

Those who were killed in the eight-year old blood bath case of Barari village in Aurangabad police station were identified as Sukhvir Singh, Sukemlata, Suryapratap, Abhishek, Mamta, Lata and Chintu. Lata was pregnant that time and the reason behind the massacre was stated to be land enmity.
