Lucknow: It was a monologue and that too not in the sweetest of the ways. It was Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath who broadsided senior officers in 'no agenda' meeting on Tuesday evening.

At the meeting called by the UP CM at a rather short notice, which he more often does, he looked frustrated at the functioning of senior bureaucracy of the state. He scolded the Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries in all possible ways just to remind them to mend their ways.

A disappointed CM even said that despite repeated directions , the certain works were not done by them. He also mentioned that files were delayed and his instructions were being ignored.

An officer, who attended the meeting, said it seemed the Chief Minister had convened the meeting only to display his displeasure over their style of functioning. ''It cannot go for long, '' the CM reportedly warned the officers.
