Video: Warden's son spotted in Lucknow Univ girls hostel

Lucknow: The inmates of Lucknow University’s Kailash girls hostel, on Sunday last, organised a press conference and accused their warden Sheila Mishra and her son namely Utkarsh of violating the rules of the hostel. They revealed that Utkarsh often sneaked into the hostel and created nuisance partying with several girls inside the premises.

The girls even presented a video at the press conference where Utkarsh is seen dancing with the hostellers on objectionable songs under a fountain.

Warden surrounded by allegations of girls:

• Sheila demanded a frequent pay-off from the girls.
• She is accused of checking the girls’ undergarments during a festival of the college.
• According to the girls, the food being served in the mess was inedible.
• Sheila did not provide fee receipts to the girls.
• She is also accused of entering fake names of workers in the records and illegally obtaining their salaries paid by the university.
• Girls alleged that they complained about this matter even earlier on May 15, 2014 to the then Governor B L Joshi with all evidences but no action was taken.
• Fed up with the persistent oppression, the hostellers wrote a complaint letter to the Student wing of the ruling Samajwadi Party on March 6, 2016.
• The Chancellor of the university has removed Sheila from the post of warden till the investigation is underway.
