Entire Lko will have piped gas supply by 2019: Rajnath Singh

Lucknow: Announcing a slew of development and public utility projects in his parliamentary constituency of Lucknow, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said that the entire state capital will have piped gas supply by 2019.

The pipelines were being laid at various places in Lucknow and the entire city would be covered by 2019 but not before some areas may have such facility much earlier, he added while addressing a Holi milan function at Ram Ram Chauraha and at Neelkanth lawns here. The talks with various departments for better inter-departmental coordination was already in progress, he further informed during three-day visit to his constituency.

Rs 5000 crore schems for Lucknow:

• A total of Rs 5000 crore schemes, big and small, had been envisaged for the development of Lucknow during five years of his term as MP.
• Some projects are executed and others will be completed,he said.

Gomtinagr railway station:

• Rajnath Singh reiterated to develop Gomtinagar Railway Station as a world class station.
• It may be recalled that former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee had desired it during his tenure as MP from Lucknow.

Outer Ring Road:

• Detailed Project Report (DPR) for first phase of outer ring road in Lucknow was ready, he informed.
• It was a much-needed project for Lucknow.
