Lucknow: The conflict between Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Singh Yadav is yet not over, it seems. The birthday party of brother Ram Gopal Yadav in the state capital reaffirmed this.

Shivpal Yadav was first seen sitting in the back row avoiding the front seats. The speeches made by him and Akhilesh also suggested that there was not all well between the two.

In his speech, Shivpal took a jibe at Akhilesh Yadav by saying that today’s generation has no knowledge of socialism.

  • Shivpal said that today’s generation has no knowledge of socialism.
  • He said that new generation should read socialism.
  • He skipped Akhilesh Yadav’s name in his speech.

Akhilesh also responded to Shivpal’s dig by saying that he has learned socialism from his father (Mulayam Singh Yadav).

  • “I have learned socialism from Netaji,” said Akhilesh.
  • Akhilesh said that Netaji carried on the socialism of Lohia and Jayaprakash Narayan forward.
  • Akhilesh, however, mentioned Shivpal’s name in his speech.

Reason of conflict in SP-

  • Shivpal Yadav had announced the merger of Quami Ekta Dal in SP.
  • Akhilesh had opposed the merger.
  • Shivpal had said that merger took place after Mulayam’s direction.
  • After Akhilesh’s opposition at the SP Parliamentary Board, the merger was cancelled.
