Akhilesh loyalist minister Pawan Pandey expelled from party by Shivpal

Significantly, UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had strongly opposed Quami Ekta Dal's merger with the Samajwadi Party, which had irked his uncle Shivpal Yadav. But as the new list contains names of tainted politicians, the party has once again come in the radar of their opponents.

SP has also given ticket to Amarmani Tripathi's son Amanmani Tripathi. It is to inform you that Amarmani is currently in his wife's murder case.

Seven other candidates have been rejected this time who had sustained defeat in the previous assembly elections. The rejected candidates are Mukesh Kumar (Charthaval), Anwar Ali (Tilhar), Haji Parvez (Kanpur Cantt), Kamal Singh Maurya (Banda), Hemant Kumar 'Tunnu' (Manjhanpur), Anoop Pandey (Rudauli) and Pradeep Yadav (Rudrapur).

Condemning the inclusion of tainted leaders in the list of candidates, state BJP chief Keshav Prasad Maurya said that his party was working for a crime-free and criminal-free society, while Samajwadi Party was shielding the criminals and torture the poor.
