Secretariat officer gets life threat yet again in Lucknow

Lucknow: The fear of police is ending among the criminals and this can be analysed as the life threats to the senior secretariat officer Mohammad Aslam and his family members have not stopped yet.

"Take more gunners, but we will kill you and your family. You made a wrong move by taking media's assistance," read the recent threat message to Mohammad Aslam.

It may be recalled that newstrack.com had, earlier on Saturday, published an article showing the helplessness of Aslam, an officer in secretariat, who is fearing death at the hands of the goons.

The family had to run from the pillar to the post to seek justice and action against the man until the media took notice of the case. After pressure from the senior officials, the police had succeeded to nab the gunner who was sending text messages to Aslam and his family.

What had happened:

  • Mohammad Aslam’s house was raided on March 29 last by some criminals and murder attempts were made on some family members.
  • A case was soon registered in a police station against five unidentified persons but no action had been taken against any one even after an year of the incident.
  • Emboldened by inaction, one of the goons made a phone-call recently which was not answered as it was from an unknown number.
  • Several calls were made thereafter. As no one responded a message was sent on one of the family member’s mobile number which read,” if you don’t withdraw the case you and your son will be murdered”.
  • The threat was repeated on many occasions. This has scared the entire family.
  • All concerned have been informed about the incident but none has taken any action. When the senior police superintendent’s office was contacted, the SSP refused to talk on one pretext of the other.
  • The incident took place only few days after the brutal Srawan Sahu murder case took place which was highlighted by all the local newspapers.
