Priyanka or Rahul can be the only saviour of Congress in UP

Lucknow: The new generation political strategist Prashant Kishor for the first time admitted that without either Rahul Gandhi or his sister Priyanka Gandhi as a chierf ministerial candidate, the Congress would not get more than 20 seats in coming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.

Congress sources here said that Prashant Kishor is all set to advise the All India Congress Committee (AICC) President in this regard.

The party would gain more than 200 seats out of the total 403, if it is done, he added .

The PK plan:

• According to party sources, Kishor strongly believes that a reliable face from Congress should contest the elections.
• The win in Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2017 will make it easy for the party to be on a stronger position in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Eyeing Brahmin votes:

• The Congress is in a mood to woo the upper class as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had already played the minority card.

Final Call to be taken after May 19:

• It is believed that PK will finalize his strategy by May 19
