Motivagers Club celebrates Annual Fiesta with elderly in Lucknow

Lucknow: On completion of successful one year, Motivagers Club in association with Shine city hosted its annual event - Annual Fiesta, at the Gautam Buddh Auditorium here on Wednesday. The occassion marked the entire journey of the club along with acknowledging its active members for their support throughout the year.

Chairman of Shine Group Rashid Naseem mentioned that such initiatives are boost for youths as seniors have a lot of experience which is useful for the younger generation and in return youth entertain and make them happy which is priceless.

The event was first timer across the nation when two generations shared the same space and interacted with each other. The genre of the event was infotainment, i.e. sessions divided into information segments as well as the entertainment segments.

*Generation Gap*

The event went on in parts and sessions. The first session included prominent personalities like senior journalist Rajkumar who talked about the problem of generation gap between seniors and youngsters that is somehow becoming a prevailing problem in our country.

Students from different colleges played an important role in making the event entertaining by showcasing performances like mime that portrayed the journey of the club.

Goosebumps giving performances made everyone stick to their chairs and the ambience of event suddenly turned serious when students gave a tribute to all the martyrs of our country.

*Use of Social Media*

The interactive session pertaining the 'usage of social media' was marked by professor Mukul Srivastava and senior Journalist Naval Kant Sinha who talked about how social networking sites are giving us advantages and disadvantages at the same time.

Enlightening performances by the senior citizens of the club was an inspiration for all the youths and the entire auditorium echoed with claps.

*Health Session*

The information section of the event then included talks on 'health issues faced by people commonly'. Keeping in mind the age factor of the senior citizens, Dr Sumit Srivastava talked about how acupuncture and slight change in routine diet may lead to less health problems.

Students not only performed cultural events like dance, singing, mime but they also showcased their speaking skills by participating in events like debate, poetry and extempore.

*Literature Session*

Literature has not only changed our thought process towards things but also have given us interesting facts that still prevail. Talking on the same, Professor Nishi Pandey and noted Author Hafeez Kidwai said that students must be in the habit of reading books and biographies of people who have contributed to our society.

Founder of the club Gaurav Chhabra mentioned that event was result of the continuous efforts from the core members including Vaibhav Singh, Astha Singh and Prishita Rathi.

Lastly, the utmost innovative thing that happened in the event was a fashion show that was organized for senior citizens. They were amazing on the ramp and also remained the showstoppers of the show with their elegance and grace. The active participation and the will to do every new thing make them stand out of the crowd.

Promoting handmade items and gifts was also a key point in the event as the venue included a handmade stall in which items like newspapers, wood, bottles, ice-cream sticks were put to make innovative handmade craft.
