Massive fire in posh Gomti Nagar area of Lucknow, shops gutted
Lucknow: A massive fire broke in up market Patrakar Puram area in Gomti Nagar of state capital Lucknow on Saturday evening, Circle Officer of Gomtinagar Satyasen Yadav informed.
The fire broke out due to welding at an adjacent building which engulfed the large area and gutted a bakery and nearby shops at the vegetable market. Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
- Ankit Prajapati, a shop owner told newztrack.com, the fire could have been minimised but the calls to the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police went unanswered.
- A private hospital in the vicinity was evacuated.
- A petrol pump also located at a stone’s throw distance from the place of fire.
