Court orders to register FIR against builder turned priest Sachin Dutt

Ghaziabad: An FIR was registered against the then Mahamandaleshwar Sachin Dutt with the Indirapuram police station of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, police said.

The FIR was registered on the orders of district court on the complaint of PNB Housing Finance.

The PNB Housing Finance has accused Dutt of forgery for taking a loan of Rs 1.5 crores, Superintendent of Police (City) Dinesh Yadav said.

The case:

  • Dutt had taken a loan of Rs 1.5 crore from the PNB Housing Finance in 2008.
  • The loan was taken for the construction of flats for Shree Balaji Residency.
  • Dutt has not paid the loan.
  • The company found that the loans were taken through forgery.
  • The loan was taken for eight flats.
  • The FIR has been registered under sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
  • Earlier, a case of forgery was registered against five person including Sachin in December-2015.
  • Dutt is at large.

Who is Sachin Dutt:

  • He is a Noida-based beer bar owner and a builder.
  • He was baptised as “mahamandaleshwar” (high priest in Hindu religion) Sachidanand Giri Maharaj in August 2015.
  • Several criminal cases pending against him, including fraud and land grab.
  • The BJP had slammed Samajwadi Party on this move.
