Lucknow Metro celebrates 70th Republic Day with patriotism and fervour

Lucknow: Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) today celebrated 70th Republic day in both its Administrative building, Gomti Nagar and Metro Depot at Transport Nagar with great patriotism and fervor.

It was a moment of pride when Shri Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, LMRC hoisted the Indian tricolor along with other Directors & senior officials in the presence of other LMRC staff followed by National Anthem.

Expressing his views on this occasion, Kumar Keshav said, “It has been really tough since we have gained independence and have seen many ups and downs during freedom struggle. We should never forget the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters so that we able to live in peace now. ”

He also said, “We must fight inequality and eradicate poverty prevailing in our society to bring real freedom and prosperity. For the glory and dignity of our nation we should contribute both individually and collectively to strive hard for the vision of Bapu (Mahatma Gandhi ji) of nation building.”

He further added,” We are about to commence the operations of the balanced section of North-South corridor which couldn’t have been possible without hard work, dedication, commitment and perseverance of the entire LMRC team. All of us have worked day & night tirelessly in making this dream a reality. Now it’s time to provide our service to the nation and to the people of Lucknow”.
