Lucknow: First 30 mins of parking will be made free in malls, complexes

Since a long time, lucknowites have been facing the problem of haywire traffic and overcrowded streets, due to chaotic parking on roads. People randomly park their vehicles on public roads in order to evade the parking charges.

Lucknow: To curb haphazard parking on roads and market places, the district administration has took an exemplary decision by making first 30 minutes of parking free in Lucknow. This move will come into effect on February 1.

The administration announced in a meeting that residents of Lucknow will be able to park their vehicles for free in shopping malls and complexes for the first 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, Rs.30 will be charged for the parking lot .

The rules will remain same for weekends as well as weekdays. After every hour a charge of Rs.10 will be levied on these vehicles.

This decision will enable to put restrictions on muddled parking which leads to traffic disturbance and congestion on roads.

The overcrowded markets of Aminabad and Bhoothnath and flee markets like Budh-bazaar are examples of haphazard parking that causes great inconvenience to people.

City peeps are seeing it as a revolutionary order that will solve the problem of congested roads and heavy traffic. The streets of Lucknow are now expected to be hassle-free.
