Aminabad (Lucknow): A massive fire broke out in Aminabad, the busiest market of Lucknow, on Saturday. A huge loss of property has been reported.
According to the eyewitness, "The fire took place near Jhande Wala park in a saree shop and soon engulfed the many nearby shops."
The officials said that the fire brigade personnel were pressed into service to douse the flames.
- More than 12 fire tenders were rushed to the incident spot.
- The cause of fire was yet not known.
- Shops near famous Hanuman Mandir, Madhu Milan restaurant are still in flames.
More details regarding the incident are awaited.
It is worth mentioning that Aminabad is the largest market of Uttar Pradesh located in the heart of state capital and is popular among the locals. It generally remains populated with large number of shoppers.
