LMRC to register FIR against L&T over metro mishap in Lucknow

Lucknow: The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) will get an FIR registered against construction company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) over the shuttering collapse at a construction site in Lucknow on Sunday.

“The LMRC officials reached the accident site after getting the information and had started the rescue operation. We will get a case registered against L&T,” said LMRC direction Daljeet Singh in a press conference.

Director level committee to probe in the shuttering collapse:

• A three-member team of director level have been formed by the LMRC to probe in this matter.
• The team will file their report within 15 days.
• The team comprises of director rolling stock, director finance and director world and infrastructure.

No political pressure:

On the query on political pressure to complete the project within dateline, the LMRC director said that there was no political pressure and neither Uttar Pradesh government nor their officials were intervening in the project.

CM Akhilesh Yadav takes cognizance:

The Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav taking the cognizance in the matter ordered to take stern actions against the responsible.

The matter is very serious.

Injured should get proper treatment, he ordered.
