Lekhpal abuses Lucknow journos in public; complaint filed

Lucknow: A Lekhpal, who was under the influence of alcohol, misbehaved with two journalists in Mohanlalganj area in the capital city on Friday. He used abusive language for media men in the presence of his senior officer but no one dared to stop him.

What is the incident?

• Two TV journalists – Arun Chaturvedi and Jay Shukla visited Mohanlalganj tehsil to meet lekhpal from Devti village
• Journalists went to enquire about the DM’s notice issued against Devti Lekhpal, Rajesh Tiwari
• After meeting SDM Shailendra Mishra, both the journos were stopped by Rajesh Tiwari and his brother
• Lekhpal used abusive language against Arun and Jay
• The complete incident was recorded on camera

Police complaint filed

• A written complaint has been submitted to Mohanlalganj police station
• Police has launched a probe against the Lekhpal Rajesh Tewari.
