IT city at Lucknow is the next big thing in India, says UP CM

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh’s capital of Lucknow is going to be the next big thing in the country in IT sector, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said here on Wednesday.

The new Information Technology (IT) policy of the state is paying rich dividends and the time has come that the IT base is shifted to Lucknow.

Addressing the first batch of trainees in the HCL’s IT city being constructed at Chak Ganjariya in the state capital. He said this was due to the pro-active policy of his government which gave a conducive atmosphere to IT giant HCL to reach Lucknow from Noida.

What Akhilesh said:

• The government has made a very good IT policy.
• SP government has adopted a balanced development approach.
• In UP the metro and cycle will co-exist.
• Development is the only mantra for the state.
• Youths will get employed within their home state.
• The IT policy is bringing investment in the state.
