Lucknow: High humidity continued in the state capital and other parts of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, as the Regional Met office said there were few chances of rains and that the humidity would continue for the next 48 hours to Thursday.

Met office Director J.P. Gupta said the sky would be clear and the harsh sun would lead to temperature increase of two degrees through the day.

The humidity levels hovered around 85 per cent. The minimum temperature recorded in the state capital was 21 degrees Celsius and the maximum is likely to be 34 degrees Celsius.

Gorakhpur recorded a minimum of 22.5 degrees Celsius, Kanpur 23.4 degrees Celsius, Varanasi 24 degrees Celsius and Allahabad 22.5 degrees Celsius. There might be scanty rain in some places in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
