Fire breaks out at the Saharaganj mall in Lucknow

Lucknow: Panic gripped a sizeable Sunday crowd when a fire broke out at the top floor of the Saharaganj mall, located in the upmarket Hazratganj area in the state capital of Lucknow.

Two fire tenders were immediately put into service to extinguish the fire which was threatening more because the fourth floor of the mall housed the multiplex and Food court. No causalities was reported but preliminary reports suggested of some property loss.

According to fire brigade sources, the immediate cause of fire could not be ascertained . The panic situation arose in the mall because a of the large turn out on holiday. The visitors were safely evacuated, sources added.
