Face of a Bareilly villager blackened

Bareilly: Face of a resident of Saidpur Sarora village in Bareilly district , Chandrapal,was blackened and he was made to drink urine for spreading a rumour that daughter of Sarvesh , a co-villager ,had run away with some boy.

Unrepentent, a member of the girl's family said he deserved punishment like this because he had defamed a village girl .

Ram Bahadur (Gram Pradhan), J.P. Yadav (S.O.) and Yamuna Prasad (S.P. Village) have inquired into the incident which was widely published by local newspapers . Further action is being taken by the police.
