Supreme Court ordered release of Sahara Chief on parole

Lucknow: Sahara chief, Subrata Roy has been ordered release on parole for four weeks by Supreme court on Friday due to his mother's death.

Chhabi Roy, the mother of Sahara chief , passed away. She was 95 and was at a makeshift hospital at Sahara Sahar in Lucknow for the last two years, family sources said.

• She breathed her last at 0134 hours on Thursday.
• She was born on 15th of January in Araria district of Bihar.
• It may be mentioned that Subrata Roy has been in Tihar Jail for more than two years in connection with a long running dispute with markets regulator SEBI.
