Case filed against Shirish Kunder for abusing UP CM on Twitter

Lucknow: Bollywood director Shirish Kunder has landed himself in the soup as a case has been filed against him under IT act for making defamatory remarks against the newly elected Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The case has been filed by NGO operator Amit Tiwari in the Hazratganj Kotwali here.

It may be mentioned here that husband of noted choreographer and director Farah Khan had termed Hindutva mascot Yogi Adityanath as ‘goon’ on his Twitter handle, few days ago.

The matter:

Kunder was replying to Chetan Bhagat's tweet, which read, "Yogi Adityanath as UP CM. Because when you make the naughtiest guy in class the class monitor, he behaves the best."

Taking Chetan's logic, he had said if it is good to place a goon on the top post of the state then India's most wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim could be the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Director and Vijay Mallya, RBI Governor.

'Tees Maar Khan' filmmaker, however, faced wrath of Tweeple following which he deleted his tweets.
