BJP is fully geared much before the UP elections next year

Lucknow: The two-day meeting of the Bhartiya Janata Party(BJP) at Allahabad ending on Monday is not the only indication that the party has taken the upcoming assembly election in Uttar Pradesh more seriously than other parties.

Although the election is almost a year away slogans related to the election and announcing party agenda have appeared in several parts of the state capital. One of the slogans written in red letters near the polytechnic crossing reads “ Na Bhed Bhao, Na Atyachar; Abki Bar Bhajapa Sarkar ( If you want nodiscrimination against caste or community and no atrocity; vote BJP to power next time).

The other slogan assures the voters that the party will provide corruption-free government in the state if it is voted to power.

Clearly, party president Amit Shah's statement at the national executive meeting at Allahabad on Sunday that U P election will be crucial for the party for 2019 Lok Sabha elections was not an isolated move .

The party is serious about it and would leave no stone unturned to come to power in the state. He has rightly said that Uttar Pradesh will be the gate-way to the Lok Sabha.

The slogans also make it clear which are the issues will be raised during the election in the state next year. As is obvious from the slogans ,Law and order and discrimination against some castes and communities will top the agenda. Corruption issue will also figure prominently.
