BJP former MLA's son Vaibhav Tewari shot dead in Lucknow

Lucknow: Vaibhav, the son of former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Jippi Tiwari, was shot dead in city's posh Hazratganj area here on Saturday.

Police have identified assailants - Suraj Shukla and Vikram Singh and the SUV used in the crime.

The incident took place at around 9.15pm outside the main entrance of Kasmanda House apartment.

Vaibhav was rushed to Lohia Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police said that Vaibhav Tewari (28) lived in flat number 322 of Kasmanda Apartments with his wife, 3-year-old daughter and father Jippy Tiwari, a former MLA from Dumariyaganj, Siddharthnagar.
