10-yr-old diesel, 15-yr-old petrol vehicles likely to be banned in Lucknow

Lucknow: Seeing air quality deteriorating in the state capital, District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma on Tuesday hinted that 10-year old diesel vehicles and 15-year old petrol vehicles would be banned in Lucknow.

A Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) report for 43 cities showed that Lucknow was the sixth most polluted city in the country.

It is worth mentioning here that Delhi saw season's worst air quality with thick cloud of smog enveloping the capital city.
