The Kalyan Singh Cancer Institute is set to initiate several schemes for the convenience of patients seeking treatment. Patients will soon have access to multiple facilities at the institute. To facilitate this, the institute has installed an MRI machine and an oxygen plant.

**Installation of MRI Machine**

The cancer institute will commence the implementation of three major schemes. Currently, there is no provision for MRI scans at the institute, forcing patients to undergo MRI examinations at other hospitals. This poses significant challenges for them. However, to address this issue, an MRI machine has been installed at the institute. This will ensure that patients coming here for treatment and examinations do not face any inconvenience. Patients are required to undergo MRI scans at PGIs and KGMCs. According to Dr. RK Dhiman, the director of the institute, an MRI machine has been installed for patients' examinations. The trial phase of the machine has been completed, and soon, patient examinations will commence.

**Installation of 20,000-Liter Oxygen Plant**

Alongside the MRI machine, a molecular diagnostic lab will be established at the institute. A liquid medical oxygen plant has been installed here. According to Dr. RK Dhiman, director of the Kalyan Singh Cancer Institute, a 20,000-liter capacity oxygen plant has been installed at the institute. This will ensure that patients do not face a shortage of oxygen. The oxygen needs of patients coming for treatment will be fulfilled.

**Reports to be Provided to Patients Within Three Days**

The Kalyan Singh Cancer Institute has collaborated with IIT Kanpur to provide modern testing facilities for cancer patients. Through this collaboration, cancer patients will no longer have to wait for long periods to receive biopsy reports. Currently, it takes about eight to ten days to receive biopsy reports. However, following this agreement, cancer patients will receive biopsy reports within three to four days.
