Kanpur: President Ram Nath Kovind and Union Minister Rajnath Singh are to give Uttar Pradesh's Industrial city, Kanpur its first and country's 72th Super-Specialty, Apollo Medics Hospital, on Sunday.

Dr. Hariprasad, President of Apollo Hospital Groups said that this supplementary hospital of 300 beds will have 110 beds for critical care. He stated quoting a survey that there is a shortage of two thousand beds in Lucknow. In this case, this hospital will prove to be a major step in fulfilling this shortage.

Spread over a 3,50,000 square feet area, the 330-bed super-specialty hospital will provide quaternary care services with round the clock diagnostic, curative, preventive and rehabilitative care across specialties headed by internationally trained doctors.

Dr. Mayank Somani, CEO of the hospital, said that there are MRI, Positron emission tomography ( PET scan), 128 slice CT scan, cardiac and Neuro Cath Lab, state-of-the-art path lab and 24-hour emergency services.
