Photo journalist dies while covering the water train in Jhansi

Jhansi: Ravi Kanaojia, a photo journalist of a leading print media was killed after he came in contact with electric current while clicking the water train sent by the Centre on Monday in Jhansi of Uttar Pradesh.

Ravi died on the spot and his body was sent for postmortem, police said.

He had gone to Jhansi with reporter Shweta Dutta to cover the water train from Delhi.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister condoled his sudden death and announced a financial help of Rs 20 lakhs for his kins.

The water train was later sent towards Agra on the instructions of railway headquarters, sources said.
