High alert: LeT threatens to blast major cities of Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: A threat video from Lashkar-e-Taiba has sent Uttar Pradesh security forces into tizzy and high alert has been issued over some serious bomb blasts that could shock several districts of the state.

The alert has been issued in connection with a video, received by the intelligence agencies on Tuesday last, threatening to rock the state with serial bomb blasts at public places, like railway stations, of several districts on the susceptive dates of June 6, June 8 and June 10.

The security in the public places and important establishments has been escalated and the Director General Police OP Singh has asked all the officials of the province to stay on high alert.

According to the intelligence agencies the video was released by a commander of LeT Abu Shaikh.

The alerts have been issued to Additional Director General of Varanasi, Meerut and Agra apart from other major districts and have been instructed to be cautious.
