According to him, he traveled to Gorakhpur by train, and someone might have placed the firearm in his bag during the journey. According to police sources, the businessman hails from West Champaran in Bihar and had come to Gorakhpur with his ten-year-old son to conduct business in the market. The bewildered trader was en route to Gorakhnath Temple to seek blessings when the police discovered the firearm during the bag check at the temple gate. He was unable to comprehend how the firearm ended up in his bag. However, after finding the firearm, the police informed the authorities and handed over the trader to the Gorakhnath police station.

Conspiracy Against the Chief Minister? With Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's scheduled visit to Gorakhpur on Saturday, the apprehension arises whether the capture of an individual carrying a firearm near Gorakhnath Temple was a mere coincidence or part of a larger conspiracy. Intelligence agencies are also on high alert to ensure that no firearms are smuggled into the temple premises. It is unlikely that someone had planned to bring a firearm into the temple complex with a child in tow. The trader is currently being questioned to verify his claims and gather further information.

Police Alert from Uttar Pradesh to Bihar The trader questions why he would carry a firearm if it belonged to him and why he would visit the temple with his son. He suspects that someone might have planted the firearm in his bag during the train journey. Based on the trader's statements, the Gorakhpur police have initiated the process of verifying his claims with the police in West Champaran, Bihar. A team from Gorakhpur has already been dispatched to Bettiah, while the intelligence agencies are also gathering information about the trader.
